A German brand specializing in cooker hoods and induction systems commissioned us to aesthetically renew a downdraft cooktop already present in its product range. The objective was to expand the lineup with new chromatic finishes aligned with contemporary kitchen trends, addressing the needs of a niche market increasingly focused on visual harmony.
A 360° Aesthetic Challenge
The project required far more than a simple restyling. It involved redefining a coherent aesthetic language across different materials—glass ceramic, metal, and treated surfaces—and creating a new chromatic coordination standard capable of integrating seamlessly into the most sophisticated kitchen environments.
Custom Tones and Coordinated Textures
We developed four color tones inspired by the most widely used collections in high-end countertops and sinks: Pearl White, Beige–Taupe, Light Grey, and Anthracite Grey. In collaboration with the glass-ceramic manufacturer, colored surfaces with tone-on-tone textures were created, designed to faithfully reflect the hues and patterns of the reference materials.
Attention to Detail and Visual Coherence.
The central flap, a distinctive element of the extraction system, features one side in glass ceramic and the other in painted aluminum. For each color variant, precise combinations of metal and glass were defined, ensuring visual continuity and an elegant, minimal monochromatic effect. The result is a product perfectly suited for integration into premium kitchen settings.
User Interface: Essential and Intuitive.
The induction cooktop integrates a slim E.G.O. touch interface with white LED lighting. The system is simple and intuitive, featuring slider controls, booster function, grill mode, and automatic extraction. This solution maximizes space for the cooking zones without compromising the refined design of the downdraft cooktop.
