A South American home appliance company commissioned Kosmo to develop a built-in electric BBQ for the Brazilian market. The goal was to create a compact, reliable, high-performance product designed for modern kitchens and gourmet areas, combining design, functionality, and safety.
Design and technical solution.
The project required a solution that combined design, practicality, and high performance. The cooktop features dimensions of 288 × 510 mm, electric cooking with volcanic stone, and mechanical control with 12 power levels. The stainless steel structure and cast iron grill ensure robustness, while the lava stone guarantees even heat distribution for uniform cooking.
Styling research and material selection.
The electric BBQ was designed with a clean and functional aesthetic, consistent with the formal language of the gas collections developed for the same client. Stainless steel was chosen for its elegance and durability, while cast iron provides stability during use. The combination of the electric heating element and volcanic stone delivers a cooking experience similar to that of a traditional grill.
A shared language for a coordinated range.
The electric BBQ cooktop is part of a four-product range designed around a common aesthetic language, in continuity with the gas versions. Seamless integration into kitchen countertops, the coordinated cast iron grill, and a mechanical control knob with 12 settings help define a coherent and functional system, supported by carefully selected components to ensure long-term reliability and durability.
Safety and reliability at the core of the project.
Kosmo internally managed all certifications required for the Brazilian market, from technical documentation to regulatory compliance. We supported the client from the early co-design stages through to production, ensuring a complete and controlled development process. The product integrates thermal safety systems and certified components, guaranteeing protection and high performance in every use.
