A Swedish brand, manufacturer and distributor of cooker hoods across the Scandinavian countries, entrusted us with the development of a downdraft cooktop featuring an upgraded motor. The brief called for a perfect balance between low noise levels and high aspiration performance.
Power and silence without compromise.
The goal was to expand the distributor’s offering with products that outperform those already available on the market. The challenge was to design a downdraft cooktop that combined advanced performance with quiet operation, ensuring comfort and reliability in the kitchen.
Upgraded motor for optimal aspiration.
We worked closely with the supplier to enhance the existing motor, achieving higher aspiration levels without increasing noise. The outcome is a product that combines efficiency, high performance, and acoustic comfort.
Distinctive design and premium materials.
The central flap, an iconic element of the downdraft cooktop, combines glass ceramic and painted aluminum, creating an elegant and recognizable aesthetic impact. Inside, an advanced filtration system ensures practicality and cleanliness: a dishwasher-safe grease filter and a regenerable activated carbon filter suitable for oven regeneration.
Simple control, intuitive experience.
The induction cooktop integrates a slim E.G.O. touch interface with white LED lighting, designed to be simple and intuitive. Slider controls, booster function, grill mode, and automatic aspiration provide maximum control without sacrificing cooking zones, while maintaining a clean and functional design.
A new scratch-resistant matte finish to complete the range.
To complete the range and increase market appeal, we also developed a second version of the downdraft cooktop featuring scratch-resistant matte-effect glass, while retaining all the performance and distinctive design of the original model.
